WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT MANGAL FARMS:
Want to experience fenny-making? Or trek to a waterfall in the middle of nowhere? Or pick cashews? Then Mangal Farms is the place for you.

THE MOST SPECIAL THING FOR ME:
My favourite parts of Mangal Farms were definitely the trek in the middle of nowhere and, of course, the cute doggies!

MY BEST EXPERIENCES:
When we arrived from Vasco, were greeted by the 3 rescue Indian Pariah dogs, and dinner!!!
We took a look at the property, and it was large, with a nice, big pool and lots of open spaces.

THE TREK:

We were going on an 8-kilometre-long trek to a small waterfall in the middle of the jungle and back.

An old aunty who was one of the guests, the dogs, and a guide were accompanying us.

We set off and headed over to a small gate at the border of the farm and moved through it.

The trek was exciting, and we spotted several species of birds and butterflies on the way. When we reached the waterfall, we were pretty tired, so we rested there a while, and even drank some of the waterfall’s water!

Overall, the trek was wonderful, and the best part was we were in the middle of nowhere the whole time!

EXPERIENCING FENNY-MAKING:

Our guide began explaining the whole fenny-making process to us in detail, and we visited the place where the cashews were being juiced.

I even got to pick out the nut from the fruit! What a hands-on experience of fenny-making! We then visited a few more important places related to making fenny, then visited the greenhouses, and after learning about the different types of plants, we left for lunch.

THE 3RD MISTAKE OF MY LIFE :

I was ravenous already, and spotted a street side shop selling sweets. Despite my experience in the best food and sweet places, hunger crowded my mind, its din of: ‘’FOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!’’ making me blind to years of experience.

We got off and bought a green apple flavoured lollipop. I tried it and realized it was………………………………………… TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!

BLAH!

I’M DYING!

SAVE ME!!!

I drank a ton of water, threw away the lollipop and drank another ton of water before I had even the slimmest chance of survival. Don’t worry! I lived to tell the terrifying tale.

Anyway, after that lethal misadventure, we were off to Benaulim Beach.

Welcome to the pool and the beach, people!

Enjoy Mangal Farms!
